ONLINE SAFETY COMPLIANCE
1. COMPLIANCE WITH UK LAW
We fully comply with the UK Online Safety Act 2023, which aims to make the internet safer for all users, especially children and vulnerable people.
2. PROHIBITED CONTENT
Our website and services will not be used to host, promote, or distribute any content that:
• Is illegal (e.g., content that incites violence, promotes terrorism, or facilitates criminal activity).
• Causes harm to individuals or groups (e.g., hate speech, harassment, bullying, or content that promotes self-harm or suicide).
• Is age-inappropriate for children (e.g., explicit sexual content, graphic violence).
• Infringes intellectual property rights or privacy laws.
3. USER-GENERATED CONTENT
For services involving user-generated content (e.g., social media posts created on your behalf), we will:
• Ensure all content complies with UK law and platform rules.
• Review content before publication to identify and remove any prohibited material.
• Promptly remove any content reported as harmful or illegal, and investigate the issue.
4. REPORTING HARMFUL CONTENT
If you encounter any content on our website, or in services we have delivered, that you believe is illegal or harmful, please report it immediately to tech@peteashton.co.uk. We will investigate and take appropriate action within 24 working hours, including removing the content and notifying relevant authorities if necessary.
5. CHILD SAFETY
We take extra care to ensure our services and content are safe for children. If your business or service targets children under 18, we will work with you to ensure full compliance with age-appropriate design codes and child safety regulations.
6. UPDATES TO COMPLIANCE
As online safety laws and regulations evolve, we will update our practices and this page to remain compliant. The latest version will always be posted on our website.
